INCENTIVE PROGRAMME
Day
1
Arrival and Welcome at Edinburgh Airport. A fully qualified
local guide/tour manager will welcome the group and escort
them to their private deluxe coach. Transfer to Prestonfield
House, one of Scotland’s finest historic buildings,
surrounded by 13 acres of beautiful parkland, situated just
5 minutes from the city centre.
A light lunch will be served in a private room overlooking
the view to Arthur’s Seat. After lunch, a falconer will
begin a hands-on demonstration with a range of birds including
falcons, hawks, owls and eagles.
Depart Prestonfield House for a panoramic city tour of Edinburgh.
Explore the 16th century Old Town steeped in history and see
the site of Scotland’s new parliament. Later, see the
contrasting elegant tree-lined crescents of the 18th century
Georgian New Town - a fine architectural example of the period.
Late afternoon check-in to your chosen 4 or 5 star city hotel
for a chance to relax before dinner.
Transfer by coach, black taxi cabs or on foot to dinner in
one of Edinburgh’s top restaurants for dinner. There
are many to choose from!
Day 2
Enjoy a full Scottish breakfast, served in the hotel, depart
by private deluxe coach with a guide for a full day Highland
excursion. Drive north out of Edinburgh and visit historic
Stirling Castle, which has dominated Scotland’s history
over the centuries.
From Stirling continue westwards, taking in dramatic views
over to the Highlands, stopping for lunch in a traditional
inn before arriving at Loch Lomond. After lunch, take the
short transfer to the Loch’s edge where a bagpiper will
greet the group for a traditional Highland Games. The group
will be split into teams or “Scottish clans” and
participate in the following activities:
Tossing the Caber
Shot Putt
Haggis Hurling
Weight Over Bar
Knockout tug-of-war competition
Prizes can be arranged for the winning clan. Depart Loch Lomond
and return to Edinburgh and the hotel.
Transfer this evening to the Old Town and enjoy a ghost tour,
learning more about Edinburgh’s gruesome past! The tour
will end in a secret underground location where the group
will enjoy an atmospheric dinner by candlelight.
Day 3
Following breakfast t transfer to the nearby South Queensferry
where the group will board “The Maid of Forth”
boat for a private cruise to Inchcolm Abbey with its strong
Celtic connections and abundance of seabirds. The cruise takes
approximately 2 1/2 hours (including time on the island) and
once back on dry land, there are a few traditional pubs to
choose from for lunch.
Later, transfer to a local whisky distillery to find out more
about how Scotland’s national drink is made. At the
end of the tour, guests enjoy dram of fine single malt whisky.
Return to the hotel in the afternoon, where the rest of the
day is at leisure to explore Edinburgh, at their own pace.
Each guest will receive an invitation for tonight’s
dinner – The Royal Yacht Britannia. To wear this evening,
gentlemen will be provided with a kilt outfit in their rooms
and the ladies will receive a tartan sash with brooch. On
arrival at the quayside a piper will greet the guests at the
red carpet, as they board the Royal Yacht Britannia. Pre-dinner
drinks will be served in the lounge with a pianist providing
background music. A 4 course dinner will then be served in
the State Dining Room, which has seen many Royals and Heads
of States. It truly is an unforgettable VIP experience.
Day 4
Depending on flight times, there may be some free time for
the group before they transfer to Edinburgh Airport.
